Description

ALFRED de BYLANDT: a large and impressive OIL PAINTING on CANVAS entitled "Pyrenees" in its original frame.

Beautifully painted, it depicts a castle surrounded by a village and some trees; a figure in the foreground; nestling above a valley in this mountain range, with snow-capped peaks in the distance. Fully signed (lower right corner). Unrestored (could do with a little clean) and the frame, whilst original, could benefit from a little attention. 48 x 36ins (122 x 91.5cms) including the frame.

*Alfred de Bylandt was born in Belgium in 1829, and died in 1890.
