Antique Chinese Painting on Glass

1900 - 1920
Description

This is a wonderful Chinese reverse painting on glass which dates from the early 20th century. The colourful painting shows an interior setting with Chinese ladies in traditional dress playing a game of mahjong. It is in a lacquered wood frame with brass hanger typical of the period and measures 59 cms by 43 cms.

Rams Head Antiques is a family business based in Wolsingham in Weardale where we have had shop premises for 28 years. The shop is generally open every Saturday from 11 am till 3 pm.
