An oil on canvas depicting a typical Scottish highland scene of river and mountains with a tiny hamlet. The painting is competently worked but is not signed, this is most likely because the painting was purchased from Harrod''s picture department and they often sold unsigned paintings from good artists. The work is mounted in the original gilt and painted frame which as one would expect is of very good quality. The whole makes a highly decorative item and both the painting and frame are in excellent condition.
