Impressionist Fair or Market Scene Oil Painting

An interesting oil painting on canvas depicting a market scene or fair and very much in the manner of the impressionists. The painting shows people milling around a stall, with one lady turning to almost look directly out of the painting. The painting is signed 'Parson' but I cannot find a record of the artist, I do wonder whether the painting is Irish. The painting has been relined in the past, probably in the 50's or 60's indicating that it was held in high regard. The painting is also mounted in the original frame, this has been restored and regilded and does have a sense of being provincial as large parts of it are papier mache. The painting has been professionally cleaned and the painting is in very good condition. The whole has a great deal of impact and a wonderful impressionist look. C.1910.
