Title: "Mevagissy, Cornwall". Inscribed with title on a label on the reverse of the painting.

Signed. Circa 1920. Oil on canvas board.

Size: 18"x 22". Framed size: 25 1/2"x 29 1/2".

In very good ready to hang condition. Free UK delivery.

A very fine example of his output while a resident in Cornwall.

Hurst Balmford was a painter of portraits and landscapes in oils and watercolours.

He was born in Huddersfield in 1871 and studied at the Royal Cambrian Academy and also at the famous Academie Julian in Paris.

He is recorded as living in Blackpool and St Ives in Cornwall.

He exhibited at the Royal Academy and the Royal Scottish Academy.
