A really fine quality pair of Italian oil on board paintings after the old master originals and most likely purchased on a grand tour. The paintings show portraits of Fra Angelico after Di Pietro and Dante Alighieri after Giotto both original works are in Florence which is where these were made. The two are in excellent condition and of a very high quality technically. The pair retain the original gilt carved wood frames which are in excellent condition with a few old repairs.
