A really interesting oil on paper laid down on board by the English Impressionist artist George Buckingham Holland 1901-1987. The scene shows Mount Pilatus from Lucerne and is an excercise in painting light with limited colours and is just swift, effortless and brilliant. The painting is in the original frame which is oak with a gilt slip and on the mounting board is the artist label and the original label from the estate sale. The whole is in excellent condition.
