Oil Painting 'Spring Flowers' by Marie Blanche Jackson

A interesting and beatiful still life oil on canvas. The work shows a silver cup full of flowers by a window, while around it are several antique figurines. The work is very technically skilled and painted with thick impasto paint. The work is signed and also has exhibition labels on the reverse. The artist is Marie Blanche Jackson a well recorded artist that worked in france as well as exhibiting at the Royal Academy and many other places in this country. The painting is mounted in the original thick frame which has a great worn look where the gilding has gone. The whole is in excelllent condition. C.1940.
