"In an Orchard, Spring" Oil Painting by Frederick William Jackson

Description

"In an Orchard, Spring" is a very good example of the work of Frederick William Jackson. Dating from around 1905 when the artist lived at Hinderwell and was a member of the Staithes Group, the painting measures 16"x 27". It is in a good Bourlet frame giving an overall size of 23"x 34". On the reverse is a nice old label for the Fine Art Society at 148, New Bond Street, London, where the painting was exhibited in March 1968 as number 50 in their "The Early Years of the New English Art Club Exhibition".
