A lovely oil on canvas depicting a little village right by the coast with typical white washed walls of the cornish coast. The scene is really an excercise in light, with the artist catching the light and shade around the buildings. The work is by J.Cullen with a signature on the lower left and dated but slightly illegible. The painting is mounted in the original gilt frame which is a little tired but really in keeping with the painting. The frame has had some restoration to the corners and the painting has been cleaned.
