Description

Rare Welsh Antique Period Oak Welsh Dairy Dresser.

This is a very rare model of an 18th century antique oak dairy, so high waisted as it was made to be used in the Georgian dairy to store the tall butter churns on. Other dairy equipment such as butter moulds, ladles and scoops would be up on the shelf and hanging off the wonderful, large original Blacksmith iron hooks. In wonderful, original condition, a superb survivor. Dating from around 1770, in solid period oak with original pine backboards, all pegged construction. The oak is an excellent colour. Originally from the Cardiganshire region in Wales.
