This is a beautiful, Georgian antique oak Welsh dresser from the Montgomeryshire region in Wales. A rare model with having two symbolic carved oak snakes as the shoes on the plate rack. A very highly unusual motif on a dresser.The dresser rack has shaped sides and a scalloped cornice frieze. The shelves have moulded fronts. A bank of four small spice drawers sits nicely underneath.
A lovely size and in superb, very original condition. The oak colour and patina is wonderful too. A special antique oak dresser that unusually features hand carved oak snakes.
