This is a good pair of hand coloured engravings by Jan Pieter Sluyter after Maria Sybilla Merian's 'Insects of Surinam'. The engravings are in gilt edged mounts set within frames which compliment the engravings beautifully and are in very good condition. These measure 55 cms by 42 cms including the frames.
