Rowland Henry Hill (1873 - 1952).
He studied at the Academy in Bushey, at the Halifax School of Art and at Herkomer's. Hill exhibited regularly at the Royal Academy, from 1897, the Paris Salon and with the Staithes Group. Examples of his work are in the public collections at Leeds, Wakefield, Whitby, Harrogate and in the Imperial War Museum in London.
