Circular Still Life Oil Painting of Fruit

A very interesting nineteenth century oil depicting a group of fruits. The oil painting is worked on paper laid down on board and is most likely a design, either for porcelain, furniture or wall decoration. The painting has obviously been saved put onto a board and varnished because of it's appeal. The painting is very competent and the fruit particularly the pineapple are wonderful. The painting has been mounted in a Georgian period circular gilt frame and has been like that for some time. The painting has had some minor tears in the papar before being laid onto the board but these are barely noticeable. The frame has had some minor cracks and repairs. The whole has a great country house look and is hugely decorative.
