Description

This is a pair of original paintings on ivory panels which date from the early 20th century. The paintings both show a similar scene with a man and a beautiful woman but in one painting the man is being served with wine and in the other he is denied it. The paintings are in strong gouache colours and are mounted in beautiful frames intricately inlaid with brass and ivory. Both paintings are in good condition and measure 21 cms by 27 cms.
