Victorian Naive Watercolour Of A Lion

Status: This item has been sold
Sold by: Prometheus Antiques

A hugely charming watercolour of a lion signed and dated Emily Noon April1846. The work is no doubt an amateur copy of a famous painting and has a great look almost of the cowardly lion. The painting is on paper and has been varnished to preserve it probably when it was painted. The painting is mounte in a large period rosewood frame and the whole is in good condition.
