Pair Etching Of Game Birds In Flight

Status: This item has been sold
Sold by: Prometheus Antiques

A interesting pair of silverpoint etchings of a grouse and pheasant in flight. The pair are by Scottish specialist etcher Robert Dunholm who exhibited from 1897-1927 including at the Royal Academy. The works are both signed by the artist. The pair are in good condition some slight foxing and the pheasants paper has developed a ripple. The pair are mounted in the original simple oak frames and the whole remain untouched. The pair have a great sporting interest but also are quintessentially art deco in style. C.1920.
