Depicted are typical Alpine buildings; cattle; sheep; and various chalets flanking a central river, with various villagers working in the fields. To the rear are fir-lined mountains above the cultivated slopes of the hills. It's a charming painting. 19 x 15.5ins (48.25 x 38cms) including the frame.
