Victorian Oil of Fishermen

A really stunning item, oil on canvas of fishermen on the rocks mounted in a stunning quality frame. The painting shows a scene of a group of three fisherman on the side of a rocky stream probably in the highlands judging by the landscape. The quality of the painting is very good but there appears to be no signature. The painting is worked in the round and mounted in the original frame that also follows this. The frame is wonderful with copious scroll work and shells all with the original gilding. The painting has had some light restoration and the frame has had some minor repair. THe whole has a great look and desirable with the early fishing scene. C.1850.
