A very interesting and unusual period print of George the Third. The print shows the ailing king dressed in formal attire with walking cane. The caption below reads: ''George the Third. In the 74th year of his age and the 52nd of his reign. Taken on the terrace of Windsor Castle 1812'' These prints were produced to reassure the public that the king was well and not gripped by the madness he suffered from. The print is exceptionally bright of colour and mounted in the original simple gold frame, there is some slight discolouration to the paper caused by the backing board.
