C19th Chinese painting on pith paper

A good painting of a prisoner and his son, the younger child trying to play with the father, the wife is pleading for leniency with the official, exquisitely painted and almost 3D in its appearance.

The picture is in a ebonised frame and measures

14 1/2 inches x 11 inches.

The condition as always with these delicate paintings is good but there are slight blemishes and a few tiny rips, please examine the picture carefully to satisfy yourself of its condition.
