James Aitken (1853 - 1935) was a Scottish born marine artist and the father of artist, John Ernest Aitken. He travelled throughout the UK and Europe, however is best known as an Isle of Man artist, living in Port St Mary from 1911. He exhibited at the Royal Academy and a number of regional galleries, including the Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool.
