Ten black and white prints from ''Prospettiva de'' Pittori et Architetti'' by De Rossi 1702- author : Andrea Pozzo - beautifully painted frames to imitate dark green marble.
Andrea Pozzo: Trento 1642 – Vienna 1709. Italian architect, painter and art theorist. He was an exceptionally versatile artist and a prominent figure of the late Baroque. His masterpieces are the frescos on the ceiling of the nave of San Ignazio church in Rome. He published his art ideas in a famous book-work entitled “Perspectiva pictorum et architectorum”. This volume contains instructions for painting architectural perspectives and other various rules; it was on of the first perspective manuals for artistss and architects.
