A interesting oil on canvas, small portrait of a child. the child is in period dress possibly seventeenth century and thus probably reflects a hostorical figure. the child has long blond hair and it makes it a little dificult to tell if it is a girl or boy. The quality of the painting is wonderful and there is real detail in the features and hair. The painting is unsigned, there is something in pencil on the reverse of the canvas but it is illegible. The painting is in the original gilt frame and the whole is in very good untouched condition.
