Late Victorian Solid Oak Aneroid Barometer (England, 1888)

Description

A well carved solid oak barometer, having a ceramic thermometer scale with a mercury thermometer, and a visible aneroid movement, reverse painted thick bevel edge glass with a ceramic inner sleeve that is marked patent No 2526 and dated 1888.

Current Condition

In working order and re-calibrated. The case is in excellent original condition, the inner ceramic sleeve has a hairline crack, but is totally stable.

27.00cm wide 75.00cm high (10.63 inches wide 29.53 inches high)
