A charming art deco period oil on canvas still life by Florence Fieldhouse (1898 1974). The oil shows a brightly coloured vase of spring flowers on some silk fabric, the whole has that great art deco look. The work is mounted in the original fine quality gilded and painted frame. The work retains the original labels on the reverse and will be one of the artist''s exhibited works. Florence Fieldhouse was a specialist painter of flowers although she did do some landscapes, she was from Rotherham and did exhibited in the area and also at the Royal Academy. The piece in in excellent condition. C.1940.
