A beautiful and delicately painted still life watercolour.
Mary Elizabeth Anne Duffield R.I. was the daughter of Thomas Elliot Rosenberg. She married the still life painter William Duffield in 1850.
She became a member of The Royal Institute in 1861, where she exhibited 163 paintings. She also exhibited at The Royal Society of Artists, Birmingham, The Dowdeswell Galleries, The Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool, Manchester, The Royal Society of British Artists, The Royal Society of Painters in Watercolours, and The Royal Academy (between 1857-1874).
