Description

Alphonse Charles CHIGOT (France 1824-1918): an unusual and rather interesting OIL PAINTING on canvas which depicts a French military band playing in a park, perhaps the Bois de Boulogne, whilst elegant Parisian ladies stroll amongst the trees in the background.

Signed and dated 1863. 23ins x 16.5ins (58.5 x 42cms) including the original ornate gilded frame.
