Victorian Oil 'Dancing at Twilight'

A charming Victorian period oil on canvas laid down on board, depicting a scene of dancing at twilight. The painting is probably Scottish as it has an Edinburgh framers label on the reverse and it is the original frame. The scene shows a landscape with trees, loch and mountains far off and in the middle distance can be seen figures dancing at a campsite. The painting is very atmospheric and has a lovely feel about it, but sadly is not signed. The frame is of good quality with deep moulding and the orginal silvered slip and gilding. C.1890.
