A really arresting oil portrait of a young man dating to the early 1940''s. The painting rather unusually is painted on a purposely convex board giving the work a slightly three dimensional feel. The painting style is bold and modern and the young man gazes powerfully out of the work. The painting is not signed but is believed to be North American. The painting is mounted in an Art Deco period gilt frame, with a modern grey slip. C.1940.
