Artist: Alexis de Leeuw. (Belgium). (Fl:1848-1883).

Title: "Well Loaded and Contented". Inscribed on the reverse.

Signed. Circa 1870. Oil on canvas.

Size: 24"x 36". Overall size: 35"x 47".

In it's good original frame.

In good ready to hang condition.

Price: £2250. Free UK delivery.

A good large example of his work.

Alexis de Leeuw was born in Belgium but spent most of his working life in England. He became well known for painting scenes, such as this painting, of men travelling with their horses and cart loaded with their wares.

In this painting it is "well loaded" with hazel fencing.
