A charming oil on wooden panel depicting a sunset landscape with lane leading to a cottage. The work is typical of mid nineteenth century landscape with a romantic feeling. The work is beautifully executed and is signed ''G Morris Sen''. The painting is mounted in the original gilt frame which has had some restoration and regilding.The painting has been cleaned and has a little craquelure typical of paintings of this age. The whole is in excellent condition and has a lovely country house look. C.1860.
