A charming and bright oil on board by William Patrick Hall, showing a house and stream at Malham Cove, Yorkshire. The work has a beautiful peaceful glow to it, and is in excellent condition having had a light clean. The painting is mounted in the original gilt and painted frame which is of very high quality. Hall is recorded as working from 1928 and exhibited widely including many times at the Royal Academy, this work is from his earlier period before moving to the south of the country, although he was born in Yorkshire. C.1950.
