Italian Landscape Oil Painting

A wonderful oil on board depicting a scene in the Italian lakes or coastline. The painting is beautifully composed with a mountain road leading to a lake or sea and mountain beyond. The brushwork is brisk, thick and impressionistic, the whole is highly technically competent. The work is signed but I have been unable to decipher it. The painting is mounted in the original frame, the whole being typically Art Deco in period. The frame is labelled for the firm of Jarrold's of Sloane street, indicative of the quality of the whole. The painting and frame are in untouched original condition. C.1930.
