A wonderful oil on card depicting a full length nude in half life size. The painting would have been worked in the artist studio, either as a studio piece or as part of teaching at an art school. The quality of the work is stunning and the terracotta background makes a dramatic contrast to the flesh tones. This type of painting is often not signed, and sadly this is the case here. The painting has been mounted in an original art nouveau period frame, and the mount and setting is new. The art nouveau frame has some old repairs, but the whole is in good ready to hang condition. C.1920.
