portrait artist.
Maud Hall-Neale was born in Waterloo, Liverpool. The daughter of William Rutherford. She studied art in Paris under Delecluse and married artist George Hall-Neale. Between 1889 and 1940 she exhibited at The Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool (100 times), The Royal Society of Portrait Painters (9), The Royal Academy (42), The Royal Institute of Oil Painters (13), and The Society of Women Artists (89). She was elected to The Society of Women Artists in 1911.
She left Liverpool in 1916 and moved to Airlie Gardens, Kensington in London. Represented in public collections including The Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool.
