A really wonderful quality oil on canvas depicting Mallard ducks coming in to overnight on the water at dusk. The work is beautifully painted by Donald Birbeck, he is most well known as the specialist bird painter for Crown Derby and worked there in the 1930''s. The painting is mounted in the original gilt frame which is in lovely untouched condition. The painting is signed and would date to C.1930.
