A Genuine Pair of Thomas Worth Prints by Currier & Ives Depicting Trotting Races

Description

We are pleased to offer this pair of 19th century prints by the artist Thomas Worth and published by the printers Currier and Ives of New York.

The prints were published around 1860 so are now showing signs of age with foxing and shading around the edges of the prints which we believe can be removed by a professional restorer.

The coloured portions of the prints are very vibrant and without damage or discolouration. There is one minor tear on the edge of one print and the original backing paper is frail.

Each print measures 17.5 ins x 21 ins.

I believe that the simple black frames are also original to these prints.
