An English School (early 20th Century), study of a bay horse standing beside a fence with trees in the background, The name given on the frame is that of ''Shannon Lass'' who won the grand national in 1902,given the date painted and the look of the horse there is every reason to assume this is the horse being referred too!
monogrammed FPK and dated 1910, 19 1/2'' x 26 1/2'', 36x29 inches approx. including gilt frame. This is a typical country house style painting.

There is some cracking of the paint in various places – No paint flaking. It looks to have a bit of dirty varnish along the bottom edge. There is a small amount of damage to the frame – the moulding is cracked and the gilding is rubbed. There is evidence of the remains of a label on the back but any writing on it is not visible.
