Mid 18th century. c1750-1770.
The dresser plate rack has two shelves, with a moulded cornice, over a pretty, carved, wavy frieze. The rack is not original to the base, but is of very good quality, and at least 100 years old.
The dresser base is of joined construction, having two frieze drawers, over a pair of fielded and raised panelled doors, opening to reveal a single shelved storage area. The drawers are constructed with the original hand-made nails. Having Swan-Neck brass handles and ornate escutcheons. With original locks and key to each door.
Standing on stile feet.
The top can be removed for ease of moving and transporting.
The condition overall is excellent antique condition, with general expected signs of use consistent with age.
