The Watercolour Painter Ernest Bensa worked in Florence in the 1890's. He specialized in architecturial studies and city views, especially of Florence, which was highly regarded by his contempories. He exhibited at various expositions, including the prestigious ' the Exposizione di Arte e Fiore' in Florence 1896/7 The time of this painting. He also worked in Naples before 1890.
