A really well executed oil on canvas still life by Dutch artist H.Velten. The painting is bright and cheerful with a good range of fruit all beautifully painted. The artist was a specialist commercial still life painter working at the end of the nineteenth century. The painting is mounted in an eighteenth century English gilt frame. C.1880.
