Evelyn May Gibbs was a printmaker, draughtsman, painter and teacher.
She studied under Paul Nash and won the Rome scholarship in Engraving in 1929.
Taught at Goldsmiths' College School of Art.
She was married to Sir Hugh Willatt.
She was a founder member of the Midland Group of Artists, and was a War artist. She exhibited at The Royal Academy, N.E.A.C., R.E., Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool, and has work held by The Arts Council, Ashmoleum Museum in Oxford, and in other public collections.
