A charming oil on canvas depicting a scene inside a Regency house where a man has been caught poaching and is having to answer to the lord of the manor. The painting is full of charm and detail with the servants looking on in the background and the little dogs running around everyone''s feet. The painting is still nailed to the original board and is mounted in the original wonderful bur frame. The whole is an unusual, interesting and charming painting and is in excellent condition, with the painting having had a light clean and still having a dark look of age and the frame having a wonderful patina with only a few nibbles on the edges.
