A superb horse portrait in oil on canvas by John milner, entitled ''Grand Cadet'' and dated 1906. The painting is typical of the artists work with a very detailed study of the horse and a more loose landscape background. The painting is signed and dated and mounted in the original wonderful quality gilt frame. John Milner 1876-1952 was a Nottingham artist, training at the art school and exhibiting prolifically at the art society, he specialised in painting horses. The painting is in excellent condition as is the frame.
