Oil Of Nottingham By Ernest Owen Cooke

A really charming 1930''s oil on canvas depicting the old Lady Bay Bridge at Nottingham. The scene shows the bridge in the background with a young boy fishing in the fore, the work has a wonderful warm feeling typical of the period. The painting is in excellent condition and is signed and dated 1934. The painting is mounted in the original gilt frame. Cooke was an accomplished Nottingham artist he exhibited 135 times at the Nottingham Castle Gallery and also exhibited at the Royal Academy.
