Frank Rousse lived in Whitby, but also spent some time in Ilford and Hadley in Hertfordshire.
He worked for A. Tucker (Whitby), the printers, as a postcard artist.
His main subjects were of the coastal town of Whitby in North Yorkshire and the local coast.
He mainly exhibited at The Yorkshire Union of Artists, The Royal Academy, and The Royal Institute.
