Description

CHARLES COLLINS RBA**: a charming OIL PAINTING on canvas depicting a rural riverside scene with cattle grazing on the river bank and two swans gliding serenely by.

Beautifully painted and a fine composition. Signed (lower left) and dated 1890. Measurements: 28ins x 24ins (71 x 61cms) including the good frame.

**Charles Collins (Fl. 1867-1903) was a renowned painted of rustic genre and figures. He lived in Dorking and exhibited at the Royal Academy (1867-1903) and also at other London galleries. He died in 1921.
