A fine oil on canvas depicting cows coming home in the evening set in landscape. The painting is by the well regarded artist Charles W. Oswald a Victorian period artist who specialised in Highland cattle scenes, making this a slightly unusual subject. The painting is mounted in the original frame and slip which has had some repair. The painting has been professionally cleared and a hole repaired. The whole is in excellent condition and a beautiful decorative painting. C.1880.
